The Val d’Oise offers visitors more than 7.500 hotel rooms in well-equipped, modern establishments designed in keeping with the local environment. International chains (Hilton, Sheraton, Hyatt, Mariott, Holiday-Inn, Novotel, Sofitel...) are represented at Roissy-CDG airport and in some areas, although hotels in the Vexin are chiefly in traditional style. Prestigious château-hôtels and Logis de France hotels in the département have won a considerable following. Extensive facilities for meetings, seminars and other business events are also available, particulary in Roissy CDG area and Cergy-Pontoise , which offer a full range of convention and trade fair sites. Nor is there any lack of opportunities for residents with a sporting bent, who have access to over 20 golfs courses , a number of leisure centers, riverbank swimming sites and boating facilities.
