Jean Marc et Patrick Touitou, cofounders of the Capra compagny.
"We've found a site perfectly suited to the activities and image of our compagny"
Currently located in an industrial park in Le Blanc Mesnil (93),
the CAPRA company plans to move into its new premises in Gonesse,
Val d’Oise, in September 2000. Founded in 1990, this business
with a staff of 15 started its activity by designing and
manufacturing electronic test benches for the aircraft and motoring
industries from design studies and manufacturing down to the remote
maintenance of this equipment.
Highly sophisticated equipment, capable of testing all the electronic components that a car or a plane can include: batteries, windshield wipers, landing gears of the Airbus A320 and A340, or even the jet engine controls of a Mirage 2000
A booming technological "niche" with high added value that got this family firm, set up by Jean-Marc Touitou and his brother Patrick, to be listed among the main suppliers of the biggest names in the French, European and international industry, such as Valéo, Renault, Delphi, SKF in the motoring industry, along with Air France, Messier Dowty and Sogerma in the aircraft industry, or Matra, Dassault Electronique, Aérospatiale in the defense area
A high-tech activity and an unquestionable technological lead due to highly specialized personnel, consisting for one half of engineers, and for the other half of technicians and cable installers with a perfect command of electronics and computing.
In addition, for four years the firm has been developing electronic devices intended to supply equipment for the lighting of shows and audiovisual events (Futuroscope, Eiffel Tower, Disneyland), as well as for airport lighting. An activity which already represents, single-handedly, 30% of company sales.
Relying on this lead, and with a very strong reaction capability in the face of these constantly changing markets, Jean-Marc and Patrick Touitou make no secret of the fact that they have few competitors of that size, and that export is quickly going to become their number one objective in the years to come
From now on too cramped in their current premises, on account of their expansion, and also suffering from the absence of a true status-enhancing reception place for their customers, Jean-Marc and Patrick Touitou were looking for a nearby site, practical and in greater conformity with the image they want to give of their company. They are very susceptible to a quality environment, and chiefly want industrial land on which to erect suitable buildings with open-ended possibilities, according to their own plans. The Gonesse Business Park, near the Charles-de-Gaulle airport, perfectly meets their expectations since, in addition, it is located immediately by the golf course
Besides the relevance of this siting thanks to an unrestricted view on the golf course, Jean-Marc and Patrick Touitou hope to get more benefit from the many advantages that the town of Gonesse offers: road approaches, hotel amenities, Grande Vallée Shopping Center...
